Operations experience in Transformer Industry a must need to shortlist the candidature.
Purpose of the Role
1.Responsible for coordinating and managing all supporting functions of Operations department (PPC, Production, Purchase, Stores, Engineering, Testing, Quality, Logistics, and Maintenance).
2.Ensures Engineering, PPC, Purchase, production, quality, and Logistics execute their activities with synchronization to achieve the goals of the organization.
3.Responsible to focus on the medium- and long-term management of the organization's business model and internal processes to ensure maximum productivity and revenue. This individual will also provide leadership by delegating tasks to management staff, ensuring the integration of strategic plans with company operations.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Operations Planning
1.Enhances business results, CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) & EBITA YOY, by re-organizing business for both short- and long-term planning.
2.Ensures comprehensive planning to match forecasted business results.
3.Leads planning strategies to accelerate operations.
4.Liaises with Sales and marketing, Finance, HR in respective areas to ensure over all operations schedules are met.
5.Oversee and monitor maintenance of equipment in all areas.
6.Ensures designs are most cost effective, timely, and meet all quality standards and customer performance specifications Ensure the material supply line is in place to support and deliver the forecast both timely, cost effective and in quality.
Operations Monitoring
1.Monitors and adjusts operations performance at periodic intervals to ensure the forecast and service level targets are met.
2.Ensures constant improvement in processes.
3.Ensures the Manufacturing Operating System (MOS) has been effectively implemented and followed. Establish annual improvement targets for Health & safety, Expenses, Efficiency, Quality, voluntary turnover, & lead time.
4.Acts as a resource to all Heads of the department in visualizing solutions for enhancing operations output.
Management of Inter department synergy.
1.Oversees activities of managing the entire gamut of customer service-related issues with focus on improvement in revenue & customer satisfaction scores.
2.Responsible for working towards building an effective labour relations environment.
3.Responsible to ensure supportive and quality relationships with material suppliers.
4.Liaises with Human Resources to ensure appropriate programs are in place to meet the training needs of factory employees.
5.Ensures the safety and well-being of all factory workers through diligent review of processes and in accordance with all related state or federal regulatory requirements.
Continuous Improvements
1. Ensures that the Operations group effectively participates in identifying and implementing continuous improvements in all areas of the plants, both process and layout. Ensures that all improvements are sustained.
2.Continuously look for opportunities to eliminate waste and reduce costs and to add value.
3.Improve product quality of Transformers through extensive testing, customer inspection & pre-dispatch inspection.
4.Emphasis to improve productivity and manufacturing efficiency. Maximize utilization of all plant equipment & personnel.
5.Reduce total manufacturing cost by introducing new manufacturing processes in line with best-in-class standards to suit Indian conditions.
Strategic Leadership
1.Participates in strategic and business planning activities and serves as subject matter expert for operations matters.
2.Acts as a role-model within the organization.
3.Works collaboratively with other members of the senior team to support and champion organization-wide initiatives.
4.Responsible for Operations budget and business plan preparation, and execution of the same.
5.Conceives and monitors special projects with inter departmental inputs.
6.Presents monthly reports on Operations performance as requested.
7.Leads Strategic projects development and Implementation.
8.Creates a capital plan for India and administers the approved plans.
9.Develops and recommends corporate operations policy within the Operations Department.
10.Works in collaboration with all Heads of the department and senior management team on the strategic planning process and successful implementation of those plans.
11.Be a champion of HPS culture, living its values and leading others to do the same
12.Collaborates with global leaders in identification and adoption of best practices
Critical Elements & Other Responsibilities
1.Engineering degree or MBA from a reputed Management Institute in India.
2.25 to 35 years operations experience in Transformers & related industry.
3.Ability in Managing teams and mentoring all operations support departments such as Engineering and Procurement.
4.Result oriented approach and good analytical thinking process.
5.Good knowledge of MS office to analyse using spreadsheets & make presentations.
6.Experience in managing Teamwork, Risk Management. Engineering degree or MBA from a reputed Management Institute in India.
7.Strong ability to guide decision making at the C-level and engage with Top Managements.
8.Ability to work in diverse, virtual, fast paced environment and effectively collaborate across teams.
