Mobihive is an innovative and fast-growing UK based Fintech startup committed to Smartphone financing of unbanked people in Africa. We specialize in Credit profiling & Android MDM, and we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of IT Operations to lead our technology team and drive our technical strategy to the next level.

Job Summary

The IT head will be responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of the company, including system architecture, development, and deployment of technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing teams, time management, and extensive experience in Django, AWS, VPN, SMSC interconnection, API integration, mobile money integration, AI, and machine learning models. IT operations head will report directly to the IT Director and work closely with other senior management to ensure alignment with the company's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement the company's technical strategy and vision.

Oversee the architecture and development of the company's technology platforms, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency.

Lead and manage a high-performing technology team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

Ensure timely and efficient delivery of technology projects.

Oversee all system design and changes in system architecture.

Manage relationships with external technology vendors and partners.

Develop and implement robust security protocols, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.

Drive the adoption of new technologies and best practices across the organization.

Develop and oversee performance metrics to ensure technological efficiency and effectiveness.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure technology supports and enhances overall business objectives.

Required Skills and Experience

Proven experience in a senior technical leadership role, preferably as a IT operations head or similar position.

Strong man management and time management skills.

Extensive experience with Django framework.

In-depth knowledge of system architecture and cloud services, particularly AWS.

Experience with VPN technologies and SMSC interconnection.

Strong expertise in API integration and mobile money integration.

Demonstrable experience in AI and machine learning models.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Experience in a startup environment.
