As the Head of Human Resources, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our HR strategy to support our companys goals and objectives. You will be responsible for developing and implementing HR policies and procedures, managing employee relations, administering benefits programs, and ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations. Your expertise will guide our HR operations and contribute to building a positive and productive workplace environment.
Main Responsibilities
Development and Implementation of HR Policies:
- Design and implement comprehensive HR policies and procedures that align with the companys strategic objectives. Ensure that these policies support our organizational goals, enhance employee satisfaction, and comply with legal requirements.
- Regularly review and update HR policies to reflect changes in laws, industry best practices, and company needs. Collaborate with senior management to ensure these policies are effectively communicated and enforced across the organization.
Employee Relations And Benefits Management
- Oversee all aspects of employee relations, including handling employee grievances, conducting investigations, and implementing conflict resolution strategies. Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture where employees feel valued and supported.
- Manage and administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks. Evaluate and recommend enhancements to benefits offerings to ensure competitiveness and employee satisfaction.
Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Management
- Oversee the management and optimization of the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). Ensure the systems functionality supports accurate and timely record-keeping of employee information, payroll, and other HR-related data.
- Implement and maintain robust data management practices to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of employee records. Troubleshoot and resolve any HRIS-related issues in collaboration with IT and external vendors.
Compliance With Employment Laws And Regulations
- Ensure the companys HR practices comply with all relevant local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations. Stay updated on legal changes and industry trends to proactively address potential compliance issues.
- Conduct regular audits of HR practices and processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements. Develop and implement corrective action plans as needed.
Leadership And Team Management
- Lead and mentor the HR team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team environment.
- Work closely with other department heads and senior leaders to align HR strategies with business objectives. Provide strategic advice and support on HR-related matters, including talent management, organizational development, and employee engagement.
Strategic HR Initiatives
- Develop and execute HR programs and initiatives that drive organizational effectiveness and support employee engagement. Implement strategies for talent acquisition, performance management, leadership development, and succession planning.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to provide data-driven insights and recommendations for improving HR practices and organizational performance.
Must-Have Requirements
Educational Background:
- A Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required. This advanced education should be complemented by extensive experience in HR leadership roles.
Experience
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in a senior HR position, ideally within the manufacturing or packaging sector. Proven track record in managing complex HR functions and leading HR teams.
Expertise In HR Principles
- Strong knowledge of HR principles and practices, including employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and organizational development. Demonstrated ability to apply this knowledge to address diverse HR challenges and drive positive outcomes.
Leadership And Communication Skills
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate HR team members and other employees. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization and represent the HR function.
Analytical And Strategic Thinking
