About The/Nudge:
The/Nudge is an action institute building resilient livelihoods to alleviate poverty. We work with women, farmers, tribals and youth on rural development, agriculture, skilling and economic inclusion, along with 15+ central and state government partners.
Our economic inclusion journey for 25 million Indians, has reached 10 states with $250M of government funding to cover
- 25M people. Our incubator, accelerator and grand challenges have supported 200+ social entrepreneurs including 17 Forbes 30U30, 3 EarthShot Prize winners, 1 Time Magazine cover and more.
Set up with support from 100+ eminent philanthropists , 40+ corporates and 15+ foundations including Gates, Mackenzie Scott, Vinod Khosla, Nandan Nilekani, Tata Trusts, Skoll, Meta, LinkedIn, HDFC, Mphasis, KPMG and L'Oreal, we are contributing towards a poverty-free India, within our lifetime.
What will you do
learn our various programs well enough to represent our work to all stakeholders
identify and present The/Nudge's work to a targeted list of HNIs/UHNIs
leverage the existing support to open new doors, engage prospects and convert them to donors for The/Nudge
work with cross-functional teams and the India development team to craft high quality collaterals that align the financial needs of the organization to the giving objectives of the donors
build and maintain an engaged pipeline of donors
ensure timely collection of receivables from donors
proactively manage our relationships with current donors to enable repeat gifts over a longer time period
represent The/Nudge in ecosystem events around poverty alleviation, sustainable livelihoods, UN SDGs, philanthropy etc
What does success look like for this role
deliver on aligned annual fundraising goals from HNIs/UHNIs
acquisition of new mission-aligned HNI/UHNI donors in line with the annual fundraising goals
engagement and growth of our relationships with our current donor partners towards long term support for The/Nudge
Apply if you have:
have a work permit to work in the US
exudes an entrepreneurial spirit with a demonstrated ability to drive results in a fast paced environment
has a strong intent to work in the social sector and has the necessary work permit in the US
has a minimum of 15 yrs of experience in relationship management and service delivery
is intellectually curious, well-read, interested in a wide variety of topics and can hold conversations with senior leaders from various sectors
is an articulate and confident speaker
exhibits high ownership and results orientation
is willing to travel to India once a quarter or more, as required
