Chief Data Office (CDO) - Global Technology Solutions at State Street has a mandate to deliver and govern Data Architecture and Technology programs across the firm . CDO is rolling out multiple initiatives and operating model changes to execute these initiatives and generate value for our internal and external clients.
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic data technology leader to lead the growth charter for our CDO organization
Role Summary & Role Description
As Head of Data Technology and Analytics Solutions, you will
- Provide delivery leadership to data technology solutions and programs involving Cloud Data Engineering, Migration and Modernization, Reference and Market Data Management, Data Science and GenAI
- Strategically partner with various business units to conceptualise, design and execute on scalable data solutions to deliver value for our internal and external customers
- Work collaboratively with other IT functions like Cyber Security, Enterprise Architecture, Network Infrastructure and Platforms etc. to deliver cohesive and efficient solution delivery roadmaps
- Create and manage delivery roadmaps, risks and dependencies, track progress and remove hurdles to achieve OKRs and milestones. Communicate effectively and provide updates, inputs and thought leadership to CDO leadership across the globe
- Focus on talent management and retention; coach, mentor, and guide team members to create an engaged and growth-oriented team, including third party resources and consultants

Core/Must Have Skills
Solutions Delivery experience on Cloud Data Technologies (AWS, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake etc), Big Data Technologies (Hadoop Couldera etc), Data Fabric, Data Mesh, Data Virtualization (Starburst, Presto etc), Data Integration, Migration
Demonstrated experience in leading and delivering data technology solutions using agile methodology in global operating environments
Clear understanding of dependencies and support requirements from various IT functions
Excellent communication and articulation skills, proven Stakeholder Management and strong executive presence
Fair understanding of Finance and Investment Management Industry, including Regulatory and Compliance requirements that apply to data management and operations
Good To Have Skills
Exposure on Data Science and GEnAI use cases will be a plus
