Role: Corporate Communication HOG/HOD

Location: Odisha

Experience: 17 Yrs above

Education: Journalism & Mass Communication / MBA (full time)

Job Characteristics:

The position holder will be responsible for developing and coordinating company's approach to internal communications and ensuring timely support to all internal departments in achieving their departmental communication goals including design support and production of various communication collaterals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure effective internal communication system. The incumbent ensures that employees are well and timely informed about the plans and policies of the organization. The incumbent ensures the desired deliverables from his subordinates by supervising their activities.
  2. Facilitate corporate brand building and business development of the organization. The position involves planning various events such as participation in the trade fairs and exhibitions to project the company as a partner of choice for other utilities in their turnaround story / implementation of various IT /OT initiatives.
  3. Propose a yearly budget for Internal Communication, Budget control and Monitoring of Costs incurred of activities executed by Corporate Communications group and optimize costs and savings on the budget.
  4. Ensure timely development and dissemination of various Communication tools and initiatives and simultaneously ensure that the same is consistent with the branding guidelines
  5. Ensure internal communications messages are consistent across all mediums and for different departments of the organization and ensure that it is consistent with external communication messages
  6. Responsible for finalizing specifications for various items for various printing and supply related items for Communication
  7. Provide communication, branding and support to other departments / groups for ensuring Corporate Brand Identity Uniformity
  8. Respond to feedback from staff and adjust communications content accordingly
  9. Manage an internal communications team.
  10. To perform any other work allocated by Top Management based on Organization requirements

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  1. Very strong communication skills, both verbal and written, demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail
  2. Good interpersonal skills with ability to influence and handle sensitive situations, maintaining confidentiality, where necessary
  3. IT skills including Microsoft Office proficiency, including Outlook, Word and PowerPoint content management, word processing, spreadsheets, email, image editing
  4. Good judgment and ability to interpret information
  5. Good team management skills and ability to utilize available resources
  6. Ability to prioritize and manage own workload effectively but also to be flexible and adapt/respond to emerging issues, short deadlines and other demands or challenges
  7. Good knowledge and understanding of the various mediums of communication, printing and production process
