About The Role
As the
Head of Content at Optimite, you'll lay the foundation for our content strategy, building a powerhouse that drives brand authority, engages audiences, and delivers value to clients. In this role, you'll focus on establishing a streamlined content creation process, mentoring a high-performing content team, and providing strategic guidance to help clients achieve their content goals.
You'll be pivotal in developing Optimite's voice and presence through impactful storytelling, creating a robust client-facing content service, and driving measurable growth through content excellence.
What will you do

Head of Content at Optimite, you'll oversee all aspects of our content initiatives, ensuring top-quality output, strategic alignment, and team development. You'll focus on

Content Strategy (35%)
- Define a cohesive content strategy that aligns with Optimite's business goals, focusing on brand positioning, lead generation, and audience engagement.
- Develop a comprehensive content roadmap to drive consistency and quality across all channels, from blog posts and social media to newsletters and case studies.
- Set and track content performance metrics, using data to optimize and refine strategy for maximum impact.
- Metrics you'll own:
- Engagement Rate: Tracking how readers and viewers interact with content.
- Organic Traffic Growth: Measuring content's impact on increasing organic search visibility.
- Lead Generation: Monitoring content's role in capturing and nurturing leads.
Content Production & Quality (35%)
- Oversee and participate in content creation, managing a consistent output of high-quality content across formats.
- Establish a content calendar to ensure a regular publishing cadence aligned with campaigns, seasonal themes, or industry trends.
- Create and maintain reusable content templates and assets to streamline production and ensure brand alignment.
- Metrics you'll own:
- Publishing Consistency: Ensuring a steady flow of content aligned with the strategy.
- Content Quality Score: Monitoring adherence to brand voice, standards, and quality.
- Content Retention: Tracking metrics like time on page, repeat visitors, and engagement.
Team Training & Development (15%)
- Onboard and train content team members, developing their skills in SEO, storytelling, and content creation best practices.
- Create a structured feedback and development system, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and team collaboration.
- Conduct regular content reviews and 1:1 sessions to support growth and maintain high standards.
- Metrics you'll own:
- Training Completion Rate: Ensuring team proficiency in content best practices.
- Skill Development: Tracking progress through evaluations and assessments.
- Team Engagement: Gauging mentorship effectiveness through team feedback.
Client Content Strategy (15%)
- Establish a client-facing content team to support client content strategy and guidance, ensuring clients achieve measurable results through tailored content solutions.
- Offer strategic content insights and best practices to clients, helping them optimize engagement, visibility, and audience resonance.
- Develop scalable processes for delivering consistent, high-quality content strategy services to clients.
- Metrics you'll own:
- Client Satisfaction: Monitoring feedback on content services.
- Content Impact on Client Goals: Tracking effectiveness of strategies in engagement and conversions.
- Process Efficiency: Ensuring seamless workflows for client-facing services.
Must Have
- 5+ years of experience in content strategy and content creation, with a strong portfolio showcasing impactful content across formats.
- Proven experience building and scaling content operations, ideally in B2B, SaaS, or agency environments.
- Excellent writing and editing skills with attention to quality and brand alignment.
- Strong understanding of SEO and analytics tools to track and optimize content performance.
- Ability to mentor and lead a team, fostering a collaborative, high-quality content culture.
Good to have
- Experience in a client-facing role, preferably in an agency setting.
- Familiarity with content distribution strategies for social media and other platforms.

Additionally, you'll review a sample client's content or campaign and provide feedback, demonstrating your ability to deliver actionable insights that align with client goals.
