As the Head of Construction Proposals, you will be responsible for leading a team of proposal managers and coordinators to develop and submit high-quality and competitive proposals for construction projects. You will work closely with our business development, engineering, and construction teams to develop winning strategies and ensure that our proposals meet the needs of our clients and align with our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities For This Role Include
- Leading a team of proposal managers and coordinators to develop and submit proposals for construction projects.
- Collaborating with business development, engineering, and construction teams to develop winning strategies for proposals.
- Overseeing the development of proposal documents, including technical and commercial proposals, in accordance with client requirements.
- Ensuring that proposals are submitted in a timely manner and meet all client requirements and specifications.
- Developing and maintaining a database of proposal content, including technical and commercial information, case studies, and references, for use in future proposals.
- Monitoring and reporting on the success rate of proposals and making recommendations for improvements to the proposal process.
- Managing the proposal budget, including resource allocation and cost management.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, as well as a minimum of 20 to 25 years of experience in construction proposal management. You should have a strong understanding of construction processes and best practices, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.
In addition, the successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading successful proposal teams and securing new business in the construction industry. Experience with large-scale industrial construction projects, including oil and gas, petrochemical, and power plants, is highly desirable.
