Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Head - Lender Partnership. As the Head - Lender Partnership, you will be responsible for building and managing strategic partnerships with lenders in the financial industry. This is a senior-level position requiring a minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in the field. The role is based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India and is a full-time position.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Masters degree (MBA) in Business, Finance, or related field from reputed institute.
  • Proven track record of successfully establishing and managing partnerships in the lending/fintech industry for over 8+ years.
  • Have a demonstrated track record of building a successful sales pipeline.
  • Deep understanding of Lending products (secured/unsecured/other lending products) including regulatory frameworks and industry trends.

Understanding of co-lending operations, customer journey, tech integration, MIS reporting's Excellent at communication and negotiation skills.

  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with external partners.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights for partnership optimisation.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Identify and establish strategic partnerships: Identify potential partners in the lending space that align with our target market and business objectives. Reach out to different lending partners and onboard them keeping in mind the organizations strategic objectives. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at partner lenders.

2. Responsible for managing the partnerships, scaling them and accountable for delivery on business from each of the partners. Own the P&L for delivery at a partner level.

3. Collaborate on product integration: Work closely with the partner lender's products and product teams to facilitate seamless tech integration. Drive integration of all aspects of the strategic partnership across Credit, Operations, Technology and Product.

4. Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, operations, and legal, to ensure alignment and effective execution of partnership initiatives. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and implementation processes.

5. Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements: Lead partnership discussions, negotiate terms, and finalize contractual agreements. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies throughout the partnership establishment process.

6. Develop and execute strategies to drive partner engagement and adoption. Coordinate efforts to maximize partnership value and meet business goals.

7. Design new products working closely with Risk/Analytics teams for specific client segments to grow the business digitally end to end leveraging own/partner platforms.

8. Develop business processes to ensure operational efficiency and profitability.

9. Monitor and analyze partnership performance: Track key metrics and performance indicators of partnerships to evaluate effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Regularly report on partnership performance to the management team. Prepare and give business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress, successful initiatives, and roadblocks.

10. Market intelligence and competitive analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities in the lending space. Use market insights to identify new partnership opportunities and optimize existing partnerships.

Responsible to accomplish the target/deliverable as assigned by the organization on regular basis through support to respective business teams responsible for origination of said loans for the partnership
