ACTIVITIES
1 Litigation Management
- Prepare and advise the business the strategy for each case for favourable, expedited disposal.
- Co-ordinate with external counsels / solicitors and business and contest / conduct in accordance with the strategy.
- Maintain the record of the action taken as per the strategy & keeping track of litigations.
- Keep close track of the probable list.
- Resolve the litigation prone issues at notice / correspondence (initial stage)
- Prepare, advise & implement the strategy for each case in the best interest of the company.
- Co-ordinate with external counsels / solicitors and business and case contest / settle the case in accordance with the strategy.
- Maintain the record of the action taken as per the strategy.
- Update the business on the development in the matters
2 Drafting & Vetting of documents
- Classify the type of references on drafting / vetting of legal documents and prioritize the documents in terms of its criticality, stakes involved, etc.
- Design and develop a structured format for the business to provide relevant informations / data related to each reference on documentation.
- Set time standards for each category for disposal.
- Arrange to prepare the summary of the deviations on quarterly basis
3 Cost Management
- Selection of Advocates / Solicitors and Counsels.
- Negotiate fees with Advocates / Counsels / Solicitors /Consultants.
- Planning and scheduling the dates of hearing.
- Inhouse drafting of documents & pleadings.
- Ensuring that all user departments / businesses approach Nayara Energy Limited-Legal Dept(Legal Dept) for their requirement of any legal documents.
4 Legal support to the other Departments
- As per the requirements of the Company.
- Intellectual Property Right issues of the Company.
- Branding License Agreement
- Litigation filed against the officers of the Company i.e. cases filed by the CBI and Customs Department
5 Innovation & Awareness
- To encourage team for innovation.
- To implement litigation software module.
- Awareness in RO documents.
- MDPC service and awareness

Special Project
- Depot establishment
- Trade Marks of Nayara Energy
- Branding License
- Cases filed by the Customs and CBI
- Legal Advice and compliance with respect to the order of the National Green Tribunal and instructions of the Central Pollution Control Board( CPCB) for setting up of the Vapour Recovery System( VRS)
- Other issues as instructed
7 Employee Engagement & improvement of workforce
- At least 3 days Training Programmes for each employee
- Continuous interaction
Qualifications
- Educational Qualifications & Certifications:
- LL. B from Campus Law Centre , Delhi University
- Master of Business Law from National Law School India University Bangalore
Total Years of Experience: 20-25 years
Relevant Experience: Total 18-21 years
