HEAD LEGAL (MALE)
Location : Bangalore
Experience : Minimum 8- 15 Years of Legal Experience in Retail/Real Estate Industry
He will be responsible for be overseeing all legal matters within the organization & provide expert legal advice, guidance, and support to senior management in various departments to ensure compliance with laws and regulations
Candidates should be from Kerala or they should know Malayalam Fluently
Job Responsibilities
- Legal Compliance: Ensure that the organization operates in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Risk Assessment: Identify and assess legal risks associated with business operations and provide strategic advice to mitigate such risks.
- Contract Management: Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to protect the interests of the organization.
- Litigation Management: Manage all legal disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation proceedings, in collaboration with external counsel.
- Corporate Governance: Advise senior management and the board of directors on corporate governance matters and ensure compliance with corporate governance standards.
- Intellectual Property Protection: Protect the organization's intellectual property rights through trademarks, copyrights, patents, and trade secrets.
- Regulatory Affairs: Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to the organization's industry and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Legal Research: Conduct legal research on various issues and provide timely and accurate advice to internal stakeholders.
- Policy Development: Develop and implement company policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks.
- Training and Education: Conduct training sessions for employees to increase awareness of legal issues and compliance requirements.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of legal professionals, including lawyers and paralegals, to ensure high performance and professional development.
Skills:
- A comprehensive understanding of laws, regulations, and legal principles relevant to the organization's industry is crucial.
- The ability to assess legal risks and develop proactive strategies to mitigate them while aligning with the organization's goals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex legal concepts clearly and effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in negotiation techniques to achieve favourable outcomes in contract negotiations, settlements, and other legal matters.
- High ethical standards and integrity to uphold legal and regulatory compliance while maintaining the organization's reputation and values.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret laws and regulations, evaluate legal documents, and anticipate potential legal implications.
- Proficiency in project management to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and oversee multiple legal projects simultaneously.
Salary : 15 to 20 LPA
