Overview
The Head of HR at our LED Lighting Manufacturing company in Pallikaranai will play a critical role in developing and implementing HR strategies to support the organization's growth, sustainability, and employee satisfaction. This individual will lead the HR function and work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure alignment of HR initiatives with business objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
- Lead and manage the HR team, providing guidance, coaching, and support
- Drive talent acquisition, including recruitment, onboarding, and retention programs
- Oversee performance management processes and provide guidance to managers and employees
- Design and implement employee development and training programs
- Lead employee relations initiatives and provide guidance on conflict resolution and disciplinary actions
- Manage compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance
- Develop and oversee HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and a positive employee experience
- Conduct organizational planning and change management to support the company's mission and vision
- Plan and implement diversity and inclusion programs
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and maintain a positive work culture
- Monitor and report on HR metrics and KPIs to guide decision-making and demonstrate HR's impact on the organization
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners, such as labor unions, government agencies, and HR service providers
- Provide leadership on HR-related projects and initiatives
- Stay updated on HR best practices and legal requirements to ensure compliance and innovation in HR practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- Proven experience as an HR leader, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with business objectives
- Thorough understanding of labor legislation and regulations
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
- Proven track record of driving talent acquisition and retention efforts
- Experience in organizational planning, change management, and diversity and inclusion initiatives
- Knowledge of HR metrics and KPIs and the ability to leverage data for informed decision-making
- Proficiency in HRIS and other HR management tools
- Professional certification such as SPHR or SHRM-SCP is a plus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and staying abreast of HR trends and practices
- Experience working collaboratively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
