Vedanta's Bauxite and Coal mines vertical will play a crucial role in this endeavour, being strategically poised to be the largest value creators for the aluminium business.
To partner with us in this exciting journey and unlock new values for the business, we are looking for passionate professionals in the position of Head Coal Logistics, Coal Mines (Aluminium). This role will be crucial for commencing new mines to achieve the vision.
Roles & Responsibility
- To ensure the delivery of product coal from the operating sites to the customer as per the budgeted process
- To look after the digitalization of overall logistics process with minimum manual intervention and paperless working to reduce turnaround time
- To coordinate with E-auction agencies viz. MSTC, M-junction for registration and conducting E-auction as and when required and coordination with consumer for participation in E-auction
- To look after the management of weighbridges and stacks with relevant compliances to applicable statutes and proper coordination with MDO
- To ensure compliance to VSAP standards of railway safety, vehicle and driving
- To ensure on time liasioning with external agencies and govt. bodies for statutory and business needs
- To coordinate with consumer with respect to Road/RCR/Rail Delivery issuance and grievance redressal.
- To look after logistics cost reduction opportunities
- To ensure on time advocacy with Indian railways and Ministry of Coal and Mines for policy matters
- To identify potential risk and logistical disruptions due to weather conditions, accidents, regulatory change, local strikes etc.
- To ensure the logistics actions are in the respective mine schedules
- To look after the regulatory compliances & clearances- mining licenses, permits and returns
Candidate Profile
- 60% and above through academic career
- BE/MBA with 8yrs+ experience in Supply Chain.
- Knowledge of Supply Chain- Road Logistics Management.
- Exposure of handling coal transportation, Mine management & related regulatory compliances.
- Good communication skills & team management.
