Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day cafe operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, and inventory management.
- Hire, train, and supervise cafe staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable about menu items, dietary restrictions, and customer service standards.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all cafe activities, including food preparation, customer service, and sanitation.
- Create and update menus to reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences, with a focus on offering diverse gluten-free, vegan, and healthier options.
- Monitor food costs and labor expenses to ensure profitability while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Foster a positive work environment by providing feedback, coaching, and recognition to staff members.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas of the cafe, including the kitchen in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Stay informed about current food trends, dietary preferences, and industry developments, and incorporate relevant changes into cafe operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Kitchen management, with a strong understanding of food operations and industry best practices.
- Knowledge of gluten-free, vegan, and healthier cooking techniques, as well as familiarity with dietary restrictions and allergens.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve common goals.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with staff and suppliers.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
