Job description

Role & responsibilities

• nalyzing medical records: Medical coders review medical records to identify deficiencies and ensure documentation supports diagnoses, procedures, and treatment results.
• Assigning codes: Medical coders assign codes for services rendered to patients, and ensure the correct application of universal codes during the billing process.
• Auditing: Medical coders audit clinical documentation and coded data to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Communicating: Medical coders communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to explain coding procedures and billing information.
• Training: Medical coders train physicians and other medical staff on medical coding.
• Maintaining records: Medical coders keep accurate records of patients and medical facilities.
