Role Description
We have an full-time on-site role exciting opportunity for Embedded Hardware Design Lead to join our Battery RnD team. The Candidate has to drive and execute projects as well as support to existing production products related to our in-house developed Battery Management System, BESS and Telematics Unit for low voltage and high voltage vehicle applications.
The ideal candidate would not look at responsibility boundaries or scope of work but push relentlessly to ensure a quality product, on-time. A sense of pride and ownership in the product is a must.
- Strong knowledge and past experience in Hardware design development
- Managing the full V cycle of hardware design, from initial concept and requirements gathering to detailed design, validation, and final integration.
- Designing of overall architecture and system topology of related product
- Strong understanding of analog, digital and mixed signal circuit
- Comprehensive knowledge of electronic devices, DC/ DC converters, micro controller design, input and output driver circuits, communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN.
- Proficiency with Schematic and PCB designer software (Altium)
- Experience in Design calculations, Power Analysis, thermal analysis and circuit Simulation
- Knowledge of C, C++, Matlab
- Lead and conduct Function level testing on bench top and vehicle platform
- Experience in prototype development - fabrication and assembly of PCB for testing, collaboration with supplier and FAE to design and test the features, selection and procurement of project related components and instruments, documentation with respect to design process.
- Lead and conduct Worst case analysis and EMI/EMC performance
- Lead technical discussion and function review with cross functional team and customers
Qualifications & Skills:
- B.E /B tech/M tech in electronics and Electrical Engineering
- 4+ years of experience in mechanical design, specifically in Li-Ion battery design and plastic molding parts.
- Hardware Development and Hardware Design skills
- Electronics Hardware Design and Circuit Design expertise
- Experience in Hardware Architecture
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficiency in CAD software for hardware design
- Knowledge of battery technology and energy storage systems
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
