The housekeeping supervisors responsibilities include:
Assigning tasks to the housekeeping staff.
Identifying and reporting cases of tardiness, and monitoring cleaning supplies.
You should also inform management of any equipment or furniture in need of repair or replacement.
Ensure that the housekeeping staff complies with all safety and sanitation policies.
Train housekeepers on cleaning and maintenance tasks.
Oversee staff on a daily basis, Check work stations, cabins and common areas, including stairways and lounge areas for cleanliness.
Schedule shifts and arrange for replacements in cases of absence.
Establish and educate staff on cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene standards.
Motivate team members and resolve any issues that occur on the job.
Respond to customer complaints and special requests, if any.
