About The Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Guidewire BillingCenter QA Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our QA team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our BillingCenter applications. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans to identify and resolve defects, ensuring a seamless user experience.
Responsibilities
- Test Planning and Design: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for BillingCenter functionalities.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective test strategies.
- Design and implement test automation frameworks using appropriate tools and technologies.
- Test Execution: Execute functional, regression, integration, and performance tests to verify system behavior and identify defects.
- Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and report issues to the development team.
- Track and manage defects through the defect tracking system, ensuring timely resolution.
- Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate tools (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG).
- Automate test cases to improve test efficiency and coverage.
- Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing to identify bottlenecks and optimize system performance.
- Analyze performance metrics and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Quality Assurance: Adhere to industry best practices and quality standards.
- Participate in code reviews and design discussions to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with the development team to improve software quality and reduce defects.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Guidewire BillingCenter functionalities and configurations.
- Experience in designing, developing, and executing test cases and test scripts.
- Proficiency in test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, etc.).
- Experience with SQL and database testing.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter.
- Knowledge of insurance domain concepts.
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Certification in Guidewire or relevant testing certifications.
