Position Overview:
As a Growth Engineer, you will work at the intersection of engineering, product, marketing, and data to drive growth through strategic projects and experiments. You will be responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines, implementing conversion tracking, and running experiments across various web platforms to optimize our growth efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Product and Marketing: Partner with cross-functional teams to identify, design, and execute growth experiments aimed at driving user acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.
- Data Integration: Develop and maintain server-to-server data pipelines that integrate our backend systems with marketing, ad, and sales platforms such as Google Analytics, Facebook Ads, Google Ads, and more.
- Event Tracking and Analytics: Implement event-based analytics and conversion tracking across key platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta, Singular), ensuring accurate measurement of marketing campaigns and user behavior.
- Web Experimentation: Create and execute web-based experiments to test and optimize landing pages, user flows, and other critical touchpoints. This includes building A/B tests, feature experiments, and analytics instrumentation.
- WordPress Experimentation: Collaborate with product teams to implement and measure experiments within our WordPress ecosystem, optimizing for performance, user engagement, and conversion.
- Growth Tools Integration: Work closely with product and marketing to integrate third-party growth tools and automation platforms to optimize marketing, sales, and analytics processes.
- Monitoring & Optimization: Continuously monitor data flows and marketing performance metrics, identifying opportunities for optimization and automation across channels.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2-5+ years of experience in a Growth Engineering, Data Engineering, or similar role.
- Strong programming skills in languages like Python, JavaScript, or a similar stack.
- Experience with building server-to-server integrations between systems and platforms.
- Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta (Facebook) Ads, Singular, and other ad or analytics platforms.
- Experience with web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WordPress) and building A/B tests or similar experiments.
- Experience with data pipelines and APIs, particularly for integrating marketing and sales platforms.
- Familiarity with SQL and database management.
- A growth mindset and the ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative environment with a focus on testing, learning, and optimization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo).
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and data warehousing.
