Responsibilities:
Design Leadership:
- Lead the fintech product and design team strategically. Encourage and guide team members to reach their full potential and create high-quality design solutions for financial industry users.
- Lead the design of intuitive and engaging user interfaces for our fintech products to ensure a seamless user experience across all touchpoints. Help product managers and developers turn user needs and business requirements into design solutions.
- Maintain fintech design expertise by following industry trends, new technologies, and best practices. Use market research and user feedback to innovate and improve our products and services.
Compliance and Security:
- Make sure design solutions meet financial services industry regulations and security standards. Coordinate with compliance and security to address design issues and reduce risks.
- Manage the development and maintenance of our fintech-specific design system. For design workflow consistency and efficiency, define design standards, components, and patterns.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with product management, engineering, marketing, and compliance teams. Stakeholder buy-in and business goals alignment require effective design concept and rationale communication.
Team Development:
- Guide, advise, and grow team members. Create an inclusive, collaborative team culture that promotes innovation, creativity, and improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience (11+ years) in design leadership roles within the B2C industry, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in UI/UX design mobile applications.
- Excellent understanding of design principles, user-centered design methodologies, and industry-specific compliance and security standards.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or equivalent.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts and influence stakeholders.
- Experience working in agile environments and with collaborative design tools.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate team members and drive innovation in the fintech space.
