Aftermarket Technology Diagnostic Platform Engineering is a Group function innovating, developing, maintaining, and delivering Diagnostic Service Based Solutions for Volvo products on the aftermarket
- Main consumer of our services are AB Volvo workshops with more than 50 000 active installations and more than 100 000 active users in 157 countries
- Diagnostic Platform Engineering is now seeking a Group Manager for GDSP Bangalore
- Your focus within this role is to timely deliver new development, maintenance, and advanced engineering initiatives according to quality-, cost- and feature targets within an agile context
- You will define, agree, communicate, and execute strategies and targets for the group, ensuring that laws and labor agreements are fulfilled
- However, your absolute most important assignment within the role is to develop effective teams were people take pride in being responsible for their complete deliveries
- You are a member of the GDSP management team including colleague in Gothenburg, reporting to Section Manager in Sweden
- The results of your group are important, and you are measured by your ability to lead and deliver within your own team as well as your support to other teams within Diagnostic Platform Engineering but also peers and customers
What will you do
- You will inspire and motivate the people within your team with focus on product ownership mindset while also provide technical lead for the team.
- You will develop your co-workers, ensuring that critical and strategic competencies are strengthened and always maintained.
- You have full responsibility for the teams deliveries and are expected to continuously improve the operation by monitoring and improving on relevant performance indicators.
- You will take part in defining, agreeing upon, communicating, and executing towards strategies and targets supporting the organizations business plan while also establish way of working with common and stable processes, always on the lookout for making them more efficient within a global agile context.
- You will lead and act according to Volvo values, champion the culture and promote diversity.

Who are you
You are an experienced leader with an interest in Automotive and IT who would like to establish and lead a new team in Bangalore developing the Global Diagnostic Service Platform for AB Volvo Aftermarket!

Education:
- You should have a B.E / B.Tech or masters degree in engineering or equivalent and carry great communication skills in English, spoken and written.
Experience:
- You should have minimum of 12 years in development of Automotive Electronics (Diagnostics/Services, Diagnostic tools, and services development business and/or IT and/or ECU ESW development)
- Minimum 8 years of experience from Management positions within line and/or project organization with Agile System Development in scope. History from working with automotive Aftermarket business is a plus.
