As Group Design Manager you will lead design for a core set of customer and expertcollaboration capabilities. This role requires a dynamic individual who is comfortableworking in a highly collaborative environment, with a solid ability to go deep intoend-user problems and then apply design thinking and design craft to solve them.The successful candidate must be both an excellent designer and strong leader since they will manage and mentor a team of designers. Through a keen balance of design strategy, thought leadership, creative direction and people leadership, the Design Manager enables this team to deliver awesome experiences for employers and their employees.

Design is crucial at Intuit and collaborates closely with Product Management andEngineering leaders to provide a strong design voice to guide the customerexperience vision and strategy. They also use their deep knowledge of customerbehavior to drive design judgment, while leveraging solid analytics andexperimentation frameworks to make data-driven decisions.

What you'll bring

Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience as an UX Designer/Product Designer.
  • 5+ years experience leading and managing design team.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Product Design, Human-Computer InteractionDesign, or other relevant field.
  • Deep understanding of user interface, interaction, and visual design; demonstrated ability to deliver high quality design output.
  • Strong Design Leadership and Management with excellent influencing skills.
  • Expertise in conveying ideas and concepts through storyboarding,wireframing, and prototyping.
  • Strong business acumen and experience in managing multiple stakeholdersand senior leadership expectations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, project management, and organizationalskills.
  • Proven success working on concept, interface and experiences for innovativelarge-scale projects, actively collaborating within a cross-functional team.
  • Mastery of design and prototyping tools (ability to craft rapid experiments andresearch to deliver experiences).
  • Experience designing for and working with design systems and reusablecomponent libraries.
  • Experience designing for accessibility.
  • Experience with agile, lean UX and mobile first.
  • Up-to-the-minute knowledge of design trends in mobile, web, and motiondesign.
  • A background in global and/or fintech design (nice to have).
  • A well-presented online portfolio demonstrating strong craft and collaborativeprocess.

How you will lead

Responsibilities

  • Help to define and drive business and product strategy, stimulating andprovoking change or progress across the organization.
  • Provide direction, inspiration, and mentorship to working teams, in line withstrategy across the VEP product ecosystem.
  • Maintain and influence cross-functional partners on the product strategy andvision.
  • Build capabilities across teams, scaling effort across the business.
  • Manage complex initiatives through design thinking, pushing innovation with astrong focus on the holistic VEP ecosystem.
  • Have an uncanny ability to bring people along across a complex organizationand inspire them to always aim for bigger, bolder, and smarter.
  • Evolve the design system for web, mobile, and/or other mediums.
  • Broad and deep product and customer knowledge across business.
  • Work with distributed teams and stakeholders, across multiple projects andinitiatives Operate autonomously but provide strategic guidance to leadershipwhile managing your direct team.
  • Provide strategy and new thinking for unmet opportunities, champion thatvision.
  • Participate and facilitate brainstorming and co-design activities with internalgroups and with customers.
  • Be an excellent communicator; amplify, dramatize stories and information toevoke meaningful and lasting emotional responses through verbal and visualmeans,ensuring alignment with stakeholders and team
