Green Building Consultant

Job Overview: As a Green Certification Facilitation Engineer, you will be responsible for facilitating the process of obtaining green certifications for buildings and facilities. You will work with clients to identify opportunities for certification, guide them through the certification process, and ensure that their facilities meet the necessary standards and requirements for certification. You will also be responsible for staying up to date with changes in certification requirements and standards, and for providing guidance to clients on how to maintain their certifications over time. Key Responsibilities: Work with clients to assess their facilities and identify opportunities for green certification Research and stay up to date with changes in certification requirements and standards Develop and implement strategies to help clients meet the necessary requirements for certification Assist clients with the preparation of certification applications and other required documentation Provide technical guidance to clients on sustainable design, construction, and operations practices Coordinate with third-party certification organizations to ensure that certification requirements are met Monitor the progress of certification applications and provide updates to clients on their status Assist clients with the development and implementation of ongoing sustainability programs to maintain their certifications Participate in industry events and stay up to date with emerging trends and best practices in sustainable design and construction Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, environmental science, or a related field Minimum of 3 years of experience in sustainable design, construction, or operations Strong knowledge of green building certification programs, such as LEED, WELL, and BREEAM Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards related to sustainable design and construction Ability to travel to project sites and work flexible hours as needed
