The Studio Photography Office Photoshop Designer is responsible for editing, retouching, and enhancing photographs to ensure they meet the studio's high-quality standards. This role involves working closely with photographers and clients to understand their vision and deliver polished, professional images. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, excellent Photoshop skills, and a passion for photography and digital art.
Key Responsibilities:Photo Editing and Retouching:
- Image Enhancement: Enhance photos by adjusting color, exposure, contrast, and other elements to achieve the desired look.
- Retouching: Retouch images to remove blemishes, smooth skin, and perform other corrections while maintaining a natural appearance.
- Background Removal and Compositing: Remove backgrounds, create composites, and manipulate images as needed for creative projects.
- Batch Processing: Efficiently process and edit large volumes of images for studio projects, events, or client orders.
Creative Editing and Effects:
- Artistic Editing: Apply creative effects, filters, and techniques to achieve specific artistic visions.
- Photo Manipulation: Create composite images and visual effects as required for special projects.
- Design Elements: Incorporate text, graphics, and other design elements into images as needed for promotional materials, websites, or social media.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Client Consultation: Work with clients to understand their preferences and ensure their vision is realized in the final images.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with photographers, designers, and other team members to ensure a cohesive approach to projects.
- Feedback Incorporation: Make revisions based on feedback from clients and team members, ensuring satisfaction with the final product.
File Management and Delivery:
- File Organization: Maintain an organized digital library of images, ensuring easy access and retrieval.
- Quality Control: Ensure all images meet the studio's quality standards before delivery.
- File Formats and Delivery: Prepare images in various formats for different uses, including print, web, and social media.
Software and Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop: Expert-level skills in Photoshop, including layers, masks, filters, and advanced editing techniques.
- Knowledge of Other Software: Familiarity with other Adobe Creative Suite tools (e.g., Lightroom, Illustrator) and additional photo editing software.
- Color Correction and Calibration: Understanding of color theory and color correction techniques, including monitor calibration.
Qualifications:Education:
- Degree or Certification: Bachelor's degree in Photography, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field. Certification in Adobe Photoshop or related courses is a plus.
Experience:
- Photo Editing Experience: Proven experience as a Photoshop Designer or Photo Editor, preferably in a studio or professional setting.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a range of photo editing and retouching work, including before-and-after examples.
Skills:
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and familiarity with other photo editing tools.
- Attention to Detail: Strong eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
