We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Supply Chain Engineer to join our Operations team. As a Supply Chain Engineer, you will play a critical role in optimizing our supply chain processes to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse and optimize supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, production planning, and distribution.
- Utilize tools such as supply chain modelling software, demand forecasting tools, and inventory optimization software to analyse data and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in the design and implementation of strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce lead times, and improve supply chain responsiveness.
- Conduct supplier evaluations, negotiate contracts, and develop relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliability and cost-effectiveness.
- Support the implementation of lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the supply chain.
- Participate in the development of supply chain metrics and KPIs to monitor performance and drive improvements.
- Provide support for logistics operations, including transportation management, routing optimization, and warehouse management.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement and integrate supply chain management systems and technologies.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in supply chain management practices and technologies.
- Generate reports and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders.
Requirements
Expected Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Good technical aptitude and communication skills.
- Good problem-solving abilities.
- Fluent in English. Multilingual is preferable.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Good presentation skills.
- Should be able to travel for business purposes.
- Knowledge of supply chain concepts, including inventory management, demand forecasting, production planning, and logistics.
- Familiarity with lean principles, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with CAD software is a plus.
- Should have knowledge of tools such as Microsoft Excel, Statistical Analysis Software, and Supply Chain Management Software
Expected Qualification
- Completed Bachelor or Master degree with minimum 7.0 CGPA in one of the below disciplines:
- Supply-chain Management
- Production Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Freshers are eligible to apply
- Maximum total experience should not exceed 1 year.
