Job Summary:
We are looking for a Gold Loan Sales Manager / Area Sales Manager to drive gold loan sales, manage operations, and lead a high-performing team in the Chennai region. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in gold loan sales, team management, and business development, with a focus on achieving targets and expanding partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
- Achieve gold loan disbursement targets and identify new business opportunities.
- Build strong networks with local jewellers, gold shops, and other potential sources for lead generation.
- Drive cross-sell targets for insurance, bank accounts, personal, and business loans.
Operations & Compliance
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure accurate gold loan valuation, documentation, and disbursement processes.
- Conduct field or partner audits to maintain operational efficiency and adherence to safety protocols.
Team Management
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team.
- Monitor performance, set clear KPIs, and conduct regular reviews.
- Minimize staff attrition by ensuring team stability and motivation.
Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain partnerships with banks, financial institutions, and non-financial partners.
- Ensure smooth loan processing and superior customer service by coordinating with internal teams.
- Foster relationships with key clients to improve retention and satisfaction.
Market Analysis & Strategy
- Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities and competitor strategies.
- Implement area-specific marketing strategies to enhance gold loan penetration.
Risk Management & Quality Control:
- Ensure the authenticity of gold jewellery pledged by customers, minimizing the risk of spurious or low-quality gold.
- Implement stringent checks and controls to prevent fraud and ensure the safety of gold assets.
- Liaise with external valuers for periodic audits and address any discrepancies promptly
Qualifications:
- Education:Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related fields.
- Experience:Minimum 5 years in gold loan sales and management.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office.
- Fluent in Tamil; English and Hindi are a plus.
