Position Summary
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Responsible for Global Performance Test Engineering for the Industrial Process centrifugal pump group to ensure high quality and consistency in global performance test operations.

Minimum Requirements
Describe scope and magnitude in specific terms of project size, budgets, sales volume, operational impact, and personnel.

- Coach, train, and mentor global engineering and test personnel.
- Review results of pump performance tests and discuss results with internal and external stakeholders.
- Compile accurate global data on 1 st pass test yield and lead improvement initiatives with Design Centers.
- Provide 2 nd line troubleshooting support for pump test failures
- Lead standardization of the company's global test programs, test standards, test data, and standard work instructions.
- Provide leadership and technical support in designing and improving test capability of Global IP test facilities.
- Up to 50% Travel, Domestic and International
Education: BS Engineering in Mechanical Eng. and/or Electrical Eng.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in the testing of pumps or equivalent
Skills/knowledge:
- Knowledge of the testing and troubleshooting of centrifugal pumps (vibration & hydraulic)
- Knowledge of test instrumentation, measurement & setup (Head, Flow, Power, Temperature, Vibration, Displacement)
- Knowledge of a programming language (Labview & Visual Studio preferred)
- Knowledge of calibration process/procedures
- Interpersonal, communication, project management & VBLSS skills.
- Knowledge of pump manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of industry test standards including API, ANSI, ISO, HI, etc.
- Creativity (i.e. the ability to approach problems in non-traditional fashion).
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Ability to identify barriers to success and find solutions working across the organization.
- Effective written and verbal communication.
