Job Description
Your responsibilities:
- Build and Deploy Database Platforms.
- Effective delivery and service operations of Database Platforms.
- Ensure best-in-class support for Database Platform technologies across the company not only in the IT infrastructure area, but also providing services and solutions to all application teams onboarding and leveraging these technologies.
- Follow established standardized design and development processes to enable cost effective delivery. Over-see the operational health, management, security, lifecycle, and reliability.
- Responsible for the 24x7 operational oversight and direction to both external technical and engineering teams.
- Support and ensure compliance to defined IT Governance controls, standards, and practices.
Requirements
What you'll bring to the role:
- University degree in Computer Science or comparable education; fluent English, written and spoken.
- Expertise in SQL Server DB's (installation, monitoring, maintenance, tuning and troubleshooting).
- Always On, Log Shipping and Automation and scripting in Powershell.
- Experience in both on-prem and cloud deployment of databases.
- Experience in Service Management or Engineering of a global service portfolio in similar areas as above, across geographies and business areas.
- Track record in delivering on time, quality and budget.IT Infrastructure Management and IT Service Management Practices (ITIL Foundation Certification)
- Expertise in Compliance, Risk Management, GxP, with solid knowledge of validation practice and IT control standards; Systems Integration & Build, Dev-Ops mindset and full solution lifecycle understanding from idea to retirement.
