- Support setting up companies internal finance and accounting processes and provide innovative commercial insights and solutions to improve operational efficiency on day-to-day operations
- Create efficient processes while ensuring financial accounting is executed and controlled in-house - lead the implementation of all new finance SOPs
- Handle all day-to-day financial operations (accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, invoicing, tax, balance sheets, bank reconciliation, management of accounting software/ERP and other)
- Create and maintain support for transactions and trackers to support proper control
- Organize and monitor GBL finances to provide regular up to date reports by tracking incoming and outgoing funds, budgets and communicating issues to project leads/vertical heads.
- Anticipate and identify risks and escalate issues as appropriate
- Actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships
- Provide support to all verticals to maintain expenditure records
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
- Perform other related work as needed.
In Colombia:

- Support with procurement and asset management
- Organize and monitor GBL finances to provide regular up to date reports by tracking incoming and outgoing funds, budgets and communicating issues to project leads/vertical heads.
- Anticipate and identify risks and escalate issues as appropriate
- Actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships
- Provide support to all verticals to maintain expenditure records
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
- Perform other related work as needed.
The kind of work you might do across both geographies in the role:
- Ensure smooth financial operations within GBL
- Coordinating with the project teams to ensure there are open lines of communication and regular reconciliation of financial records
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting (expenditure against budget and forecast) for both internal (GBL leadership team) and external (for funders/partners) stakeholders
- Support the creation of project budgets for proposals and the validation of plans and forecasts
- Ensure accurate financial information is available for contract stage requirements, and post-award activities for regulatory and compliance monitoring, including invoice preparation, etc.
Who are you

- Advanced degree in accounting, business, economics, or finance, or several years experience in a finance role,
- CA certification
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel using financial Excel functions
- Good exposure and knowledge of US federal and state compliance requirements for non-profits
- Experience of preparing financial reports
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience managing staff and providing direction to team members
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
