Purpose
The Global People Operations Director will be responsible for setting up and managing our Orbia People Operation organization (People Shared Services and Payroll Operations), overseeing and optimizing our global people operations & processes to ensure alignment with business objectives, compliance with regional regulations, and the enhancement of employee experience.
Main Responsibilities
- Set-up and continuously improve/mature our Orbia People Operation organization, in line with the overall Orbia People strategy
- Develop and execute a global People operations strategy that supports the company's overall business goals and objectives. Align People practices with organizational strategies and ensure consistency across all regions.
- Oversee day-to-day HR operations globally, including payroll, Shared Services, employee records, and compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of People operations.
- Ensure compliance with international, federal, and local employment laws and regulations. Mitigate People-related risks and manage audits and reporting requirements.
- Leverage HR technology and data analytics to drive decision-making, streamline HR processes, and enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Act as the central point of contact for People operations across multiple regions, providing guidance and support to People teams to ensure alignment and consistency in People practices.
Minimum Qualifications
- Academic Level: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred
- Language(s) and level of proficiency: Proficient in English.
Knowledge/ Experience Required
- Minimum of 10 years of Shared Services experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing global HR operations. Proven track record in setting-up and managing People Shared Service Centers in an international/intercultural environment
- Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong knowledge of global People practices, employment laws, and regulations.
- Proven experience in managing complex projects and driving process improvements.
- Excellent leadership, vendor & stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and fast-paced environment.
- Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and data analytics.
