Global Lead – Lean Manufacturing

Job Description

As the Global Lead Lean Manufacturing, you will spearhead the advancement and sustainability of lean manufacturing methodologies across our international operations. Your role will be pivotal in crafting and refining methods and tools, orchestrating training sessions, and ensuring steadfast integration of lean principles at each site. Moreover, you will champion Continuous Improvement initiatives, driving Kaizen Events and fostering a culture of innovation. Your responsibilities will extend to orchestrating Lean assessments and Calibration workshops globally, alongside ensuring governance and compliance of Lean Principles methods & tools. Facilitating benchmarking exercises and fostering cross-factory knowledge exchange will be central to your duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate Lean Community Meetings & Workshops to foster collaboration, share best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across all sites.
  • Develop comprehensive Lean Trainings and conduct workshops within KK to impart Lean competencies and build capabilities at all levels of the organization.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing of Best Practices between factories and various global functions, leveraging insights and lessons learned to drive operational excellence.
  • Introduce new Lean Tools, Principles & Methods into the community, staying abreast of industry trends and emerging practices to continuously enhance lean practices.
  • Ensure governance and compliance of Lean principles, methods & processes within KK, establishing and enforcing standards to uphold quality and consistency.
  • Drive the integration of Lean processes within newly acquired businesses, aligning them with KK standards and fostering a seamless transition.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement, streamline processes, and drive efficiency gains through Lean methodologies.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the impact of Lean initiatives and identify areas for further optimization.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to regional Lean champions and site-level teams, empowering them to drive Lean transformation within their respective areas.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior leadership, highlighting the progress, successes, and challenges of Lean initiatives across the organization.

Your Profile requires:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Technology Management, or a related field.
  • Lean certification (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Black Belt) required.
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience in Lean manufacturing, with expertise in Lean principles, methods, and processes.
  • Proven track record of identifying and eliminating waste to drive operational excellence and cost savings.
  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain best practices, with the ability to apply Lean principles to optimize processes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams across diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to drive and support Kaizen Events, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and lead transformation efforts.
  • Demonstrated ability to persuade and motivate middle management to embrace Lean principles and drive organizational change.
