The Devops Lead is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised CTO systems and programs in coordination with the engineering team. The overall objective of this role is to drive adoption and delivery of technical products which automates and improve CI/CD delivery pipelines to improve DORA metrics. This role is also responsible owning, maintaining, and procuring infrastructure for Investment and corporate banking.
Collaborate with SRE, Observability teams to bring synergy and standardization across the banking group.
Responsibilities:
Provide the DevSecOps Target Operating Model and roadmap for Banking Technology
Define and drive best practices for source control, engineering tools for observability.
Collaborate with Program managers/Architects/Application Managers /Vendors/Product Managers to make sure implementation follows the technical direction.
Own and groom the engineering principles and technical themes with stakeholders.
Improve and maintain Change Failure Rate (CFR) and maintain Mean Time to Recover System (MTTR) to elite standard.
Validate all technical solutions are fit for purpose and are built to meet project standards.
Contribute to the best practice in all aspects of project governance.
Ensure that all technical requirements are accurately reflected in well-defined Epics and Stories
Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing, empowering teams to drive innovation and deliver exceptional results in line with the organization's strategic objectives.
Run The Bank optimization by implementing automation.
Provide technical impact assessment to support change management.
Qualifications:
14+ years of relevant industrial experience in Devops, Application Development and Site Reliability Engineering.
Extensive experience system analysis and in programming of software applications.
Deep understanding of Java, Node and python application development to identify and resolve critical issues.
Unix Server administration, Cloud, DevOps/CI-CD tools for build and deployment, Git hub.
Experience in Python, Groovy and shell scripting.
Exposure to Kubernetes, Openshift, Harness deployment technology.
Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development
Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances changes.
Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
Education:
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements.
Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards
Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint.
Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions.
Serve as advisor or coach to engineers and analysts, allocating work as necessary.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Manage multiple teams of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions)
Provide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management and planning while monitoring end results
Utilize in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues
Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards
Integrate in-depth knowledge of applications development with overall technology function to achieve established goals
Provide evaluative judgement based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations including drawing from internal and external sources
Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary
