- CREO parametric piping, sheet metal and castings. Plastics design is an advantage.
- Good GD&T and Creo drawings experience.
- Automotive/ Automotive Tier-1 background is desired.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with Automotive clients is desired. Global clients are an advantage.
- Automotive powertrain systems (cooling/fuels/brackets/mounts/castings etc.) is desired
Geometrical Assurance Engineer | 62309BR
Experience : 5 - 10 years
As GAE Engineer, the person will be doing the following Activities:
Define and maintain aesthetic gap and flush target requirements
Analyze, Define and maintain BiW , Exterior and Interior datum targets, as per 3-2-1 principle (reference system)
Perform tolerance calculation for BiW, Exterior and Interior Build Tolerance simulation/analysis models in RDnT software environment
Find solutions to deviations from tolerance calculations
Attend project regular meetings, understand and gather necessary inputs, resolve queries - Interact closely with local and onsite GAE counterparts, Product development engineers, Studio engineers, etc
Perform functional tolerance calculations apart from Gap and Flush area
Below are the GAE Deliverables which are created by using RDnT software:
- Pre Tolerancing document, which captures datum targets and GD&T callouts of the component
- Gap Flush document, which captures nominal values with tolerances of gap and flush requirements for different interfaces
- Measurement Points document, which captures feature points on components for which measurement will be done and reported
- Tolerance calculation model, created using RDnT software
- 3-2-1 principle, GD&T application
- Define datum targets, apply GD&T callouts to BiW, Exterior and Interior components, assign tolerances
- Tolerance Stackup Linear and 3D tolerance analysis
- Knowledge about Aesthetical Gap Flush definitions and Requirements
- Plastic and sheetmetal components manufacturing process knowledge
- Measurements tools knowledge CMM, Measurement report analysis
- Automotive product development knowledge, dimensional management
- Check fixture knowledge
Tools experience required:
Catia, RDnT/3DCS/Vis VSA or any 3D tolerance analysis software, PDM link, MS office
