We are seeking a skilled and experienced General Operations Manager to lead our Broking Operations. This critical role will oversee the in-housing of back-office solutions, supervise the Stock Settlement Ops division, and drive process improvements across our operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial operations, regulatory compliance, and team leadership.
Role Summary : General Operations Manager
Key Responsibilities:
1. Back Office Solutions:
Spearhead the initiative to bring back-office solutions in-house
Evaluate current processes and identify areas for improvement and automation
Collaborate with IT teams to implement robust and efficient back-office systems
2. Stock Settlement Operations:
Supervise the Stock Settlement Ops division, ensuring smooth daily operations
Oversee the end-to-end settlement process, identifying and resolving any issues promptly
Implement best practices to optimize settlement efficiency and reduce errors
3. Regulatory Compliance:
Stay abreast of new regulatory requirements and business changes affecting operations
Implement necessary changes in the Ops product to ensure compliance
Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to interpret and apply regulatory guidelines
4. Process Improvement:
Guide the Ops team in creating and refining operational processes
Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for internal processes
Continuously seek opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and reduce risk
5. Documentation and Communication:
Draft comprehensive business documentation for the development team
Create clear, concise SOPs for all critical operational processes
Maintain open lines of communication with all relevant stakeholders
6. Exchange Liaison:
Serve as the primary point of contact for all exchange-related activities
Facilitate smooth operations and quick resolution of issues to support trading functions
7. Collateral Management:
Oversee the efficient management of the companys collateral assets
Ensure proper valuation, allocation, and regulatory compliance of collateral management
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field; Masters preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management within the broking industry
Strong understanding of financial markets, back-office operations, and regulatory requirements
Excellent knowledge of stock settlement processes and best practices
Strong leadership and team management skills
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities
