Screening Criteria: Candidates with 20+ years of procurement experience in the auto-component industry, specifically in machining, sheet metal, casting, or forging components, who are currently in a senior leadership role managing the entire procurement function, and have worked in CSN or are currently in Maharashtra and willing to relocate immediately with their family, are invited to apply.
Job Description / Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Procurement: Develop and implement robust purchasing strategies, focusing on long-term vendor partnerships for critical components such as machined, sheet metal, casting, and forging materials, while excluding plastic and electrical categories.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and strategic partners to negotiate favorable terms, ensuring timely deliveries and quality assurance across the supply chain.
- Raw Material & Component Sourcing: Oversee the procurement of essential raw materials, production components, and indirect supplies, ensuring optimal cost, quality, and delivery timelines are met.
- Contract Negotiation & Management: Establish long-term contracts with key suppliers, focusing on risk mitigation, competitive pricing, and sustainable sourcing strategies.
- CapEx & MRO Procurement: Lead procurement activities for capital expenditures related to new machinery, equipment, and infrastructure, as well as for MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) items and general office supplies.
- Logistics & Facility Management: Coordinate procurement for logistics services, professional services, and facility management to support smooth operational workflows across all company sites.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and guide a team of procurement professionals, setting performance benchmarks, and driving continuous improvement in departmental processes.
- Emergency & Routine Procurement: Ensure efficient management of routine supplies while overseeing emergency procurement processes to minimize downtime in production operations.
- Cost Optimization: Lead cost-saving initiatives and implement lean purchasing principles, targeting reductions in procurement expenses without compromising quality or operational efficiency.
