Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic General Manager - Sales to lead our sales team. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader, a strategic thinker, and a results-driven professional with a proven track record in sales management. As GM - Sales, you will be accountable for driving sales growth, developing strategic sales plans, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets within the budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and objectives.
- Identify new market opportunities and drive business growth in the solar energy sector.
- Set sales targets and monitor performance to ensure the achievement of targets.
- Sales Management:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team targets.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to the sales team.
- Foster a high-performance culture and ensure team alignment with company goals.
- Business Development:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in residential, commercial, and industrial markets.
- Develop and implement strategies to expand the company's customer base.
- Customer Focus:
- Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction by understanding customer needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Address customer concerns and resolve issues promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Financial Accountability:
- Manage the sales budget effectively and ensure cost-efficient operations.
- Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize sales revenue and profitability.
- Market Analysis:
- Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on market analysis and research.
- Adapt sales strategies to meet changing market conditions and customer needs.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and customer support, to ensure seamless coordination of sales activities.
- Work closely with the senior management team to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales management, preferably in the solar energy industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong leadership, team management, and motivational skills.
- Excellent strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
