Job Summary:
The General Manager of Prescription Marketing for Nutrition and Vaccine is responsible for leading and managing the prescription-based marketing strategies for the company's nutrition and vaccine portfolio in India. This role is critical in driving growth through innovative marketing campaigns, market analysis, and engagement with healthcare professionals (HCPs), pharmaceutical partners, and other stakeholders. The role focuses on positioning products for clinical recommendation and fostering strong relationships with the medical community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Target Achievement:
- Achieve defined Targets for Growth, Sales and Profit for the SBU
- Prepare and Execute AOP of the brands as well as brand and SBU P&L.
- Market share gain for different brand of SBU's.
- Identify New Product for launch and Successful launch of New Brands to generate revenue growth and net marketing contribution.
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement the marketing strategy for the prescription nutrition and vaccine portfolio.
- Align marketing strategies with the overall business goals, focusing on market share growth and brand equity.
- Lead the launch of new products and ensure successful market penetration.
- Develop go-to-market strategies for existing and upcoming nutrition and vaccine offerings.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Manage, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team.
- Establish KPIs and performance metrics to monitor progress and achievement of business goals.
- Foster a collaborative environment, enabling the team to reach their full potential.
- Marketing Campaigns and Initiatives:
- Design and execute promotional campaigns targeting healthcare professionals (HCPs), including doctors, pharmacists, and dietitians.
- Ensure effective communication of product benefits, clinical data, and usage guidelines.
- Collaborate with sales teams to ensure successful campaign implementation and alignment on marketing goals.
- Oversee the creation of marketing materials such as brochures, product monographs, digital content, and educational tools for HCPs.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the medical, nutritional, and vaccine sectors.
- Collaborate with regulatory affairs to ensure marketing campaigns comply with industry standards and legal requirements.
- Work closely with internal teams (sales, medical affairs, R&D) to align marketing initiatives with scientific and business insights.
- Market Research and Insights:
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to inform marketing strategies.
Deploy suitable market research tools to gauge market trends and competitor activities, consumer behavior etc. to gain the competitive edge.
- Monitor changes in regulations, prescription trends, and HCP preferences in the nutrition and vaccine sectors.
- Identify new opportunities for growth, including potential partnerships, product enhancements, and geographic expansions.
- Budget Management:
- Manage the marketing budget for the prescription nutrition and vaccine division, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Provide regular updates on budget performance and ROI of marketing initiatives.
- Compliance and Regulatory Affairs:
- Ensure that all marketing strategies and promotional activities comply with relevant pharmaceutical marketing regulations and ethical guidelines.
- Collaborate with medical and legal teams to ensure adherence to healthcare compliance requirements.

Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Nutrition, Pharmaceuticals, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree in marketing or healthcare management is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 10-15 years of marketing experience in the pharmaceutical, nutrition, or vaccine sectors, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience working in prescription-based marketing and a solid understanding of the healthcare ecosystem in India is essential.
