Tools Experience:
9+ years of experience working as a Lead DevOps/DevSecOps Engineer or in a similar role.
Hands-on experience working on Classic YAML based pipelines on Azure DevOps
Hands on deploying and running applications on-premises infrastructure on cloud environments (Microsoft Azure or similar).
Strong experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools.
Strong experience on configuring setting up environments, agents, deployment groups servers over Azure DevOps or similar tool.
Proficiency in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
Working knowledge and understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, including security automation, vulnerability scanning, and compliance as code.
Hands-on experience with scripting and automation using languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
Experience with cloud migration projects, including lift-and-shift and modernization strategies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Azure services, including but not limited to Azure DevOps, Azure Compute Services, Azure Virtual Machines, Key vaults, Service Bus, Cosmos DB, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) other commonly used services.
Strong understanding of cloud services and platforms, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS. Ideally know how to right-size a tech stack and understand regional settings/zonal settings/ and compute/ storage instance machine cost options.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) are a plus.
FinOps mindset for optimizing streamline cloud operational costs will be good to have.
