Job Description
This full-time, on-site position in Surat involves various technical duties integral to garment production, including pattern making, fabric cutting, stitching, quality control, and fitting. The Garment Technician will collaborate closely with the design and production teams, ensuring that the quality and fit of our products meet customer expectations and enhance their experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in tandem with designers to adapt designs for production.
- Construct and size pre-production garments.
- Perform quality evaluations of materials and check the final product's quality.
- Address product queries and customer complaints.
- Ensure production stays within budget constraints.
- Manage fabric quality and fitting at all production stages.
- Inspect garment quality during manufacturing and resolve any production issues.
- Train staff in garment manufacturing techniques.
- Uphold strict quality control standards.
- Document production processes and quality assessments.
- Enhance production efficiency and garment quality.
- Analyze customer returns and implement adjustments to reduce return rates.
Qualifications
- Expertise in pattern making, fabric cutting, and garment stitching.
- In-depth knowledge of quality control standards and procedures.
- Proficient in garment fitting and alterations.
- Keen attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality outcomes.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Degree or certification in garment technology or a related field is required.
- Prior experience with a Women's Wear Brand is essential.
