As a Lead Unity Game Developer at Nukebox Studios, you will lead the technical development of complex and ambitious game projects. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, artists, and other developers, to bring our game concepts to life. Your extensive experience with Unity and game development will be instrumental in delivering exceptional gaming experiences.
Responsibilities:- Lead and drive the technical development of high-impact game projects, ensuring alignment with the project's creative vision and objectives.
- Design, develop, and optimize clean, efficient, and maintainable code for Unity applications, emphasizing performance and scalability.
- Collaborate effectively with designers, artists, and developers to integrate complex game elements seamlessly.
- Bring innovative ideas and approaches to the development process, exploring new technologies, tools, and techniques.
- Tackle technical challenges and solve complex problems with expertise, ensuring that game development runs smoothly.
- Optimize game performance by implementing advanced coding practices and profiling/debugging as needed.
- Create comprehensive documentation, including technical specifications, code documentation, and best practices for knowledge sharing.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering their growth and development.
- Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies, Unity updates, and industry trends to ensure that the best practices are applied in development.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- A minimum of 10+ years of professional game development experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing your contribution to multiple Unity projects.
- Proficiency in C# and extensive experience with Unity 3D and 2D development.
- Deep understanding of game development principles, including physics, AI, and rendering.
- Expertise in performance optimization and profiling/debugging.
