Sarthak's unique in-depth and long-term interventions in the areas of education, skills and social-emotional learning (SEL) work with marginalised children and young people to bring about deep and meaningful impacts on their lives. Sarthak Yellow Rooms project runs in 19 urban slums and rural poor communities of UP serving 2000 children, Sarthak Gurukul is a model rural school serving about 600 children and Sarthak Resilience Incubator is a skilling and empowerment project working with 2400 girls from economically weaker sections.

Fundraising and Digital Media Manager

This is dynamic role involved in managing the existing donor relationships and cultivating new ones. A typical work week for you may entail some of the following activities:

• Writing a grant application for a project on improving the self-advocacy skills of young girls
• Attending a reporting and strategy meeting with the head of the department and the president of the foundation
• Visiting a yellow room to collect photographs and video interviews for a social media promo video.
• Calling existing high-net-worth individual donors to set video calls with children.
• Writing a funder progress report
• Brainstorm with the graphics designer about the layout of the monthly activity report.
• Interviewing a Yellow Rooms child to write a story about her for our Facebook page.
• Meeting the CSR head of a large company and making a presentation about our work

You are the ideal candidate if

• The idea that your work helps make things better excites you
• You have 3 to 9 years of experience in fundraising, communication, business development, writing or social media
• You have excellent spoken and written English and Hindi
• You are confident and like interacting with people
• You are a team player and enjoy working in a collegial and collaborative work environment
• You either live in Lucknow or belong from somewhere nearby and can relocate to Lucknow quickly
