Essential Job Functions
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to thoroughly evaluate Power BI solutions.
- Identify, document, and track software defects, bugs, and issues, and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Conduct manual testing of Power BI reports, dashboards, data models, and data transformations.
- Perform data validation and verification to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data within Power BI solutions.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide input on testability and potential risks.
- Participate in requirement analysis and provide feedback to ensure test coverage and alignment with business objectives.
- Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Stay updated on the latest Power BI features, industry trends, and best practices in testing methodologies.
Qualifications:
Key Skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on Power BI testing.
- Strong proficiency in testing methodologies, tools, and techniques, both manual and automated (e.g., Power BI Testing SDK, DAX Studio, Power Query Editor).
- Solid understanding of SQL and data querying for testing purposes.
- Proven experience in designing and executing complex test scenarios and test cases.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment, utilizing Agile testing methodologies.
- Relevant certifications in software testing or Power BI (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, ISTQB) will be advantageous.
