Position Overview
The Functional Analyst plays a significant role in ensuring the maximum value of the Workday solution. Specifically, the primary objective for this role is to utilize expert knowledge and best practices to deliver solutions aligned with Deloitte mission, core values and culture.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Functional Analyst is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Support and lead various aspects of Finance configurations, implementations, modifications, and enhancements including gathering and defining requirements, gap analysis, design, and development within Workday
- Good understanding of Core Financials, Customer Management, Projects, and Project Billing
- Oversee Strategic Sourcing and support the on-going analysis, design, and set-up of suppliers, supplier invoices and payments within Workday
- Support and lead continued set-up of business processes, workflows, security roles and user roles related to Spend Management
- Oversee sourcing functions including units of measure, purchase items, requisitions, purchase orders, and receipts
- Complete internal catalog data entry functions including loading and maintaining internal catalogs
- Effectively instill trust and build consensus around business processes and design related to Spend Management and Procurement
- Create detailed functional design documents including test plans, cases, and user training documents
- Support and lead continued set-up of business processes, workflows, security roles and user roles
- Research and resolve system problems, unexpected results or process flaws and recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements
- Analyze data or facts and summarize and present findings in a compelling way
- Effectively instill trust and build consensus around business processes and design
- Partner with Security and Integration teams to ensure optimal results
- Partner with HR and TECH to ensure all work streams are cohesive and cross functional impacts are considered and mitigated
- Provide thought leadership on potential enhancements, methodologies to improve overall experience
- Document changes and updates within Workday for effective change management and training needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or relevant work experience
- Understanding or strong desire to learn Workday Finance or Spend Management and Procurement
- Workday Security knowledge
- Possess strong willingness to learn and jump in feet first
Microsoft Office proficient
