Responsibilities
- Shopify Development: Build, customize, and maintain Shopify websites from start to finish, including custom themes and app integrations.
- Frontend Development: Implement user-facing features with HTML, CSS, JavaScript (React, Vue.js, or similar), and other front-end technologies for a seamless and responsive user experience.
- Backend Development: Work with Shopify's Liquid templating language, APIs, and back-end systems to create robust, scalable solutions.
- App Integrations: Integrate third-party apps and services to enhance Shopify store functionality, working with APIs and webhooks.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize store speed, mobile responsiveness, and SEO to improve site performance and conversion rates.
- Testing and Debugging: Conduct thorough testing to ensure all custom functionalities work across different browsers, devices, and environments.
- Collaboration: Work closely with designers, marketers, and project managers to deliver high-quality projects on time and within scope.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues with website functionality, performance, or integration with other tools and platforms.
Skills and Qualifications
- Shopify Expertise: Proven experience with Shopify development, including theme customization, app development, and integrations.
- Frontend Development: Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue.js, etc.).
- Backend Development: Experience working with Shopify Liquid, RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and server-side technologies.
- E-commerce Knowledge: Deep understanding of e-commerce best practices, online shopping trends, and conversion optimization.
- Problem-Solving: Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Version Control: Proficiency with Git or other version control systems.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail in both design and functionality.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
