Full Stack Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full Stack Engineer to join our Data Science and Engineering team at GSK. The Full Stack Engineer will work with the Medical Affairs Tech Product & the Development teams to architect & deliver digital products that are fit for purpose and fit for use leveraging proven and repeatable architecture/design patterns to optimize speed-to-value & costs. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and optimization of our products, ensuring it meets the highest standards of quality, security, and scalability.
Responsibilities
Functional Architecture Design: Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to design scalable and efficient Azure-based solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
Frontend Development: Develop responsive and user-friendly frontend interfaces using technologies such as Angular, React, or Vue.js, ensuring a seamless user experience across devices and browsers.
Backend Development: Implement robust and secure backend services and APIs using Azure services like Azure App Service, Azure Functions, or Azure API Management, integrating with databases and other services as needed.
Database Management: Design and implement Azure-based data storage solutions using services like Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, or Azure Storage, ensuring data integrity, performance, and scalability.
DevOps Integration: Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, automating build, test, and deployment processes to achieve rapid and reliable releases.
Infrastructure Automation: Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to ensure consistent and scalable provisioning of Azure resources.
Monitoring and Logging: Set up monitoring and logging solutions using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or Azure Log Analytics, Prometheus, Grafana to track performance, detect issues, and troubleshoot production environments proactively.
Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in Azure-based applications, optimizing code, queries, and configurations to improve scalability, responsiveness, and cost-effectiveness.
Collaboration and Documentation: Work closely with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, Azure Infrastructure Teams, and QA engineers, and maintain comprehensive documentation of architecture, design decisions, and implementation details to ensure clarity and consistency throughout the development lifecycle.
Must Have
10+ years experience in industry performing software development with a deep understanding of Microsoft Azure technologies.
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Full Stack Engineer with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Azure and Web Development Languages (typically 8+ years of experience).
2+ Years of Pharmaceutical Domain experience is strong plus.
Proficiency with Object Oriented Programming, multi-threading, data serialization and REST API to connect applications to back-end services
Proficiency in Azure DevOps and Azure Pipelines. Strong scripting skills (both PowerShell, Bash).
Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
Experience working with Microservices/Service Oriented Architecture Frameworks
Design and implement backend services using Python and Flask, FastAPI & Django framework
Proficiency in JavaScript
Solid experience with the React or Vue.js
Excellent understanding of data visualizations and data integration services in Azure from backend technologies
Excellent understanding on authentication and authorization
Understanding of IT life cycle methodology & processes
Experience in understanding and Leading Enterprise Platform /Solution
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or similar.
Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and multi-cloud strategies.
