Job Title: FullStack Developer with Google Cloud Experience

Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and experienced FullStack Developer with deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud engineering, security, and automation, with a demonstrated ability to work on complex technology challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on technical engineering of the growing public cloud program across multiple providers, with a primary focus on GCP.
- Collaborate with Cloud Engineering and Cloud Operations teams to build secure and robust cloud controls.
- Analyze, assess, develop, and evaluate security controls for the public cloud environment.
- Assist in developing cybersecurity requirements, conducting security risk assessments, and evaluating security services and technologies.
- Tailor the company's security policies and standards for use in cloud environments.
- Propose and/or design technical solutions, including creating prototypes and proofs of concept while maintaining a security mindset.
- Work closely with cloud platform architects to deliver creative solutions to complex technology challenges and business requirements.
- Automate security controls, data, and processes to provide better metrics and operational support.
- Utilize public cloud-based APIs to write network/system level tools for securing cloud environments.
- Stay current on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and controls.
- Identify, detect, and remediate failures in security controls by executing continuous instrumentation and validation of security capabilities.
Mandatory Skills:
- GCP Cloud Engineering: 5+ years of demonstrable experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including hands-on experience with services like Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, and Kubernetes Engine.
- Cloud Security: Clear passion for cloud security and technologies, with a strong understanding of current threats to public cloud infrastructure.
- Automation/Scripting: Expertise in automating daily tasks through scripting languages such as Python, Go, and Bash, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience.
- Cloud Architecture: Strong understanding of cloud architecture patterns and design principles.
- Programming: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, with the ability to create secure and efficient code.
Good to Have (Not Mandatory):
- Experience with containerization software such as OpenShift.
- Relevant GCP certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Data Engineer).
- Proficient in Linux system administration, automation, and operations.
- Experience with web-based applications or web services.
- Knowledge of network and web-related protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS, routing protocols).
- Experience in designing and implementing standards, specifications, and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Experience working in and with Agile delivery teams/projects/programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in any STEM academic discipline.
- Minimum of 6-9 years of experience in public cloud environments (on-premise administration or any network experience will not be evaluated).
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and accountability for achieving results.
