About the Job:
Borneo is a fast-growing startup developing a cutting-edge data security and compliance automation platform, and we're looking for a passionate Full Stack Engineer to join our team. You will play a key role in building and scaling our product, working across both backend and frontend. The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation, is eager to grow, and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where innovation and collaboration are key.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full Stack Development: Design, develop, and maintain both backend services and frontend components for our security and compliance automation platform.
- Feature Development: Work closely with the product team to translate business requirements into technical solutions, focusing on security, scalability, and performance.
- API Development & Integration: Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to support frontend-backend communication, integrate with third-party services, and ensure robust data exchange.
- Frontend Development in Angular: Build user-friendly, intuitive, and responsive interfaces using Angular, ensuring a seamless experience for end users.
- Backend Development in TypeScript: Build and optimize server-side logic, develop scalable microservices, and maintain data flow between services and databases.
- Testing & Debugging: Write and maintain unit and integration tests for both frontend and backend code to ensure high reliability and reduce downtime.
- Collaboration in a Startup Environment: Collaborate with a small, agile team of engineers, designers, and product managers to iterate quickly, build new features, and deliver value to customers.
- Code Review & Quality Assurance: Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality code, share knowledge, and implement best practices across the stack.
- DevOps Mindset: Assist in deployment, scaling, and monitoring of applications in production, ensuring smooth and continuous operation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ Years of Relevant Experience: Proven experience as a Full Stack Engineer or similar role, ideally working in startups or fast-paced environments.
- Proficiency in TypeScript: Strong knowledge and at least 2 years of hands-on experience with TypeScript for building scalable backend services.
- Expertise in Angular:At least 1 year of experience working with Angular, developing dynamic, responsive web applications.
- Experience with RESTful APIs: Ability to design, build, and consume RESTful APIs for efficient client-server communication.
- Database Experience: Proficiency in relational databases, designing schemas, and writing optimized queries.
- Self-Starter: Ability to take ownership of features, work independently, and thrive in a startup environment where priorities can shift quickly.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in Startups: Prior experience working in a startup or early-stage company, where agility and problem-solving are key.
- Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments, managing sprints, and delivering features incrementally.
