Full Stack Data Engineer (6-Month Contract, Remote in India)

We are recruiting on behalf of a global leader in analytics and insights for commodity markets. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Full Stack Data Engineer to contribute to the development of a next-generation digital analytics platform. This is a 6-month remote contract based in India, offering you the chance to work on cutting-edge technology in a dynamic environment.
Role Overview:
As a Full Stack Data Engineer, you will build scalable web applications, design robust data pipelines, and ensure seamless data integration and processing. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, developers, and UX/UI designers, to deliver a reliable and efficient data infrastructure that supports advanced analytics and reporting.
Location: Remote (India)
Duration: 6 months
Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain front-end and back-end components of web applications, ensuring software quality and security through testing and code reviews. Design, build, and maintain data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from diverse sources. Optimize data storage and retrieval processes for performance and scalability. Create efficient data models and schemas using SQL and NoSQL databases. Design and implement RESTful APIs for data and functionality integration with front-end applications. Troubleshoot and resolve application performance and data integration issues, deploying updates to production environments. Implement monitoring and alerting mechanisms to ensure the reliability of data pipelines.
What You Bring: 10+ years of experience in backend development using Python, Java, or Node.js, with expertise in frameworks like Django, Flask, Spring Boot, or Express.js. Strong experience in data engineering, including building and maintaining ETL pipelines and working with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka. Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and their data services. Expertise in relational and NoSQL databases, with a strong understanding of database design and optimization. Proven experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs. Familiarity with data pipeline orchestration tools like Airflow or Luigi. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks. Bonus: Front-end development experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Analytical mindset and exceptional problem-solving skills.
