Your responsibilities include coding, optimizing, and ensuring that websites and applications meet high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Front-End Development:
XHTML/CSS Coding: Write clean, semantic, and well-structured XHTML/CSS code to implement responsive and cross-browser-compatible web designs.
User Interface: Create and maintain user-friendly and visually appealing user interfaces for websites and web applications.
Responsive Design: Develop and implement responsive designs to ensure optimal user experiences on various devices, including desktops, tablets, and mobiles.
Browser Compatibility: Ensure cross-browser compatibility and consistent rendering of web content across different browsers and platforms.
Performance Optimization: Optimize web pages for fast loading and efficient performance.
Image Optimization: Optimize images and other media assets to ensure they do not impact page load times negatively.
Collaboration:
Collaboration: Collaborate with designers, back-end developers, and other stakeholders to translate design concepts into functional web pages.
Quality Assurance: Conduct quality assurance testing to identify and fix any display or functionality issues.
Version Control: Use version control systems to manage code repositories and facilitate team collaboration.
Documentation and Maintenance:
Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of coding and development processes.
Maintenance: Perform ongoing maintenance and updates to web content and designs as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proficiency in XHTML, CSS, and responsive web design techniques.
Strong understanding of web standards, usability, and user interface design.
Knowledge of web development tools and technologies, such as Adobe Creative Suite, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap).
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) such as WordPress or Drupal.
Knowledge of web accessibility and WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) standards.
Experience with front-end development for e-commerce platforms.
Familiarity with SEO (Search Engine Optimization) best practices.
