Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Front-End Lead with expertise in eCommerce platforms to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of complex front-end architectures, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and user-centric eCommerce solutions. Your strong technical expertise will guide the team, ensuring high-quality, performant, and maintainable code.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the front-end development efforts for large-scale eCommerce projects, defining and implementing best practices in architecture and code quality.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product owners, and back-end developers to ensure seamless integration and alignment between design, front-end, and back-end components.
- Architect and develop responsive, performant, and maintainable front-end solutions using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.js, Vue.js, or Angular.
- Provide technical leadership in planning and executing front-end development, including ensuring cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility.
- Optimize front-end performance, applying techniques such as lazy loading, code splitting, and caching to improve load times and user experience.
- Ensure the implementation of WCAG accessibility standards and SEO best practices across the front-end applications.
- Guide the team in building reusable components and establishing scalable front-end architecture for future development.
- Integrate front-end solutions with eCommerce platforms such as Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Magento, or Shopify.
- Manage front-end codebase versioning, deployments, and build processes using tools like Git, Webpack, Gulp, or Grunt.
- Mentor and coach junior front-end developers, providing code reviews, architectural guidance, and leadership.
- Stay updated with the latest front-end technologies, frameworks, and tools to ensure the team leverages best practices and industry trends.
Required Skills:
- 8-12 years of professional experience in front-end development and architecture, with at least 3-5 years working on eCommerce platforms.
- Expertise in front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.js, Vue.js, or Angular.
- Experience with Node.js for server-side development, API integration, and building scalable, high-performance applications.
- Experience in integrating front-end with RESTful APIs and headless CMS/eCommerce systems.
- Strong understanding of eCommerce platforms (Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Magento, Shopify, etc.) and their front-end customization.
- Proven experience with responsive web design and mobile-first development.
- Deep knowledge of performance optimization techniques (minification, compression, lazy loading, etc.).
- Familiarity with front-end testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Cypress.
- Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and front-end build processes.
- In-depth understanding of web security best practices, including XSS, CSRF, and secure authentication.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience leading a team of developers and collaborating with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of Progressive Web Applications (PWAs) and Single Page Applications (SPAs).
- Familiarity with SEO optimization and WCAG accessibility standards.
- Experience working with headless eCommerce architectures and CMS platforms.
